Maleya Foundation held a 2-day long workshop on ‘reporting and documentation’ for indigenous human rights defenders at Shyamoli in the capital from November 29-30, 2012.
The program was organized as part of activity of a project titled, “Capacity Enhancement of the Small Ethnic Groups and Disadvantaged Communities for Policy Advocacy,” which is being funded by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF).
Dipujjal Khisa, coordinator of the organizing organization gave a brief description on ‘reporting and documentation’ while Pragati Chakma, coordinator of the project, conducted the entire workshop for two days.

More than a dozen of participants belonging to different indigenous groups from the country’s various parts i.e. Satkhira, Barguna, Cox’s Bazaar, Joypurhat, Netrokona and Khagrachari took part in the two day long workshop.
Robindranath Soren, chairperson of Kapaeeng Foundation, and president of Jatiya Adivasi Parishad (JAP) was present as the special guest in the first day of the 2-day program.
